Classic night is a strange arcade style construction/strategy game. You play a weird skeleton whose has to collect light for the moon, so it can become brighter.
To aid you in your task you can build streetlights which give you a better source of light, you can steal it from little creatures, and employ a troll to make streetlamps for you. At the same time you have to avoid 'Crazy Rabbit' who will steal your light, hampering your progress. If that doesn't make much sense, nor does the ClassicNight!
However, this very odd ClassicNight is presented with charming graphics, evocative of 'A Nightmare Before Christmas'. Your character is very nicely animated, if a little sluggish! Music is provided by a relaxing classical soundtrack, with minimal game effects to compliment it. Control is fairly simple, using the mouse and keyboard, and the only real problem is following the instructions of the moon. Translated from Korean, sometimes the moon is a little unclear about how you should do things! Despite this it's mostly possible to work things out for yourself. The difficulty level suddenly jumps at level three, meaning you really do have to rush about harvesting light as fast as possible.
If you can understand the sometimes odd in-game instructions, ClassicNight is an attractive, enjoyable and gentle little game.
